My first-ever submitted paper got accepted. That gave me the wrong impression of academia: you do research, write a paper about it, and it gets published. Nice.
The truth is that, in many cases, your paper/proposal/etc. is rejected, then revised and re-submitted. Seeing that it's not all about acceptance, but also about trying, is useful for me and hopefully for others, too.

• October 2026. Our research "Adolescents' Online Safety During Wartime" was accepted as a paper presentation at the Third Annual ChYRP International Conference on Children's Rights, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, December 2026.
• September 2026. A paper was desk-rejected from Online Information Review.
• September 2026. A research proposal to Child and Youth Rights was declined.
